Summary

This article shows you how to configure your Ecenica Hosting web space to enable you to publish and share your Microsoft Outlook 2007 calendars.

Step one. Setup your web space

1. Login to your hosting control panel.
2. Click File Manager
3. Click the ‘httpdocs’ folder
4. Click Add New Directory
5. Enter a name such as ‘office’ or similar
6. Click OK. Once this directory has been created click Add New Directory again
7. Enter ‘calendars’ for the directory name and click OK
8. Click the Home button on the left
9. Click Virtual Directories
10. Click Add New Virtual Directory
11. Enter ‘calendars’ for the name
12. Click the drop down menu and select httpdocs/office/calendars (or the directory structure you have used) for the path
13. Select Read, Write and Directory Browsing
14. Under execute permissions select none
15. Click OK

Step two. Sharing a calendar using Outlook 2007

1. Open Outlook 2007
2. Click the Calendar tab
3. Right click your calendar, and select Publish to Internet > Publish to WebDAV Server
4. Enter location as your domain name and then virtual folder. Example: http://example.com/calendars
5. Choose the level of detail you wish to publish
6. Click OK
7. You will be prompted for your sign in details, enter:
• Your hosting FTP username
• Your hosting FTP password
8. Select remember my details for convenience and and click OK.
9. Outlook should succesfully publish your calendar and give you the option to share with your email contacts

Step three. Subscribe to a published calendar using Windows Calendar

1. Open Windows Calendar
2. Select Subscribe
3. Enter the full path to your calendar Example: http://example.com/calendars/joe.ics
4. Click Next
5. Give the calendar a name, and select an update interval. We recommend Every Hour
6. Click Finish
