Symptom
When attempting to send email, you get an error message similiar to;
503 this mail server requires authentication
Cause
SMTP Authentication (SMTP-AUTH) is enabled on the SMTP server and you are not providing a valid username and password.
Resolution
- Enable SMTP authentication in the SMTP settings of your email application.
- Enter a valid username and password.
